It's yuletide season again and I feel obliged to share some of my favourite recipes. We'll take this in bits. Patacones      Ever since I stumbled upon this delicacy on what my brother calls "German TV" (DW: Deutsche Welle), I fell in love with unripe plantain (green plantain). This is one of the ways I can eat green plantain without worrying about the taste (another is unripe plantain porridge which BTW is so AWESOME).
