DIRGE FOR MY SCHOOL'S PROPRIETOR
I decided to write a poem for my recently deceased proprietor and this is what i came up with. Enjoy reading this.
I once knew a man who was very
charitable,
One who would give out all
including his table
and wouldn't mind using the
floor provided others are comfy.
He was a man of vision and
philanthropy,
A man who made great decisions
in his prime
and kept free of moral crime.
He established a kind of
education
One which is affordable by all
with accommodation.
One with academic and
co-curricular activities closely knit
Despite the rough journey, it
has been sweet
We know you've gone to receive
your reward,
But your memories and
achievements forever remain inward.
You will be dearly missed by us
all
And your name is engraved in the
hall- the hall of fame.
