A POEM FOR A CHILD
A child is a
gift,
One whose
smile lifts,
One whose
looks makes the heart melt
And whose
affection can be far smelt.
One with a
laughter so contagious,
And happiness
so conspicuous.
One with a
heart difficult to hurt,
And one who
cries when cut.
One whose
words are sincere,
One whose
touch repairs.
One who isn’t
let down by happenings
But forgets
them and keeps going.
One who is
carefree and loves adventures,
One who loves
taking pictures,
One with a
pleasing attitude,
One who always
shows gratitude.
One with
lovely giggles,
One suitable
for cuddles.
One with an
impression to remember
And one as
special as gold to a miner.
