Mark made so many visits to the house; eventually an elderly woman came to answer the door. She looked lonely, depressed and haggard. “What do you want from me” she shouted. “Ma, I was just wondering if you need help to clean your environment”, Mark replied. “I don’t need your help ,get out of my face before I hurl things at you.” She retorted.
Mark walked off but still felt like helping her  despite her initial unpleasant attitude to him,so he made it a point of duty to visit her when he had the time even when he was not on his cleaning round in the neighbourhood and cleaning the surrounding of the house for her from time to time. This endeared Mark to the old woman. She thought to herself, “I think I should have a chat with this lad one of these days, he seems to be a pleasant and persistent young man”.
Meanwhile Mark’s classmates in the college had all graduated and were working in different places, Derek had a job with an accounting firm but he got into trouble due to some fraudulent transactions he was involved in.
Back to Mark and the old woman.
Mark continued with his visits and cleaning of the surrounding of the woman’s house even when she didn’t answer to his call at the door. One day the old woman decided to let Mark into her house. “Hello, young man you seems to enjoy cleaning my house for free?  asked the old woman. “Yes ma, provided it makes you happy”, answered Mark. “It sure does”, the old woman responded. So she let Mark in her house.  Guess what, the interior was equally as unkempt as the exterior, so Mark cleaned and tidied up the whole house after so many visits due to the size of the house.
Did Mark stop at cleaning Mrs. Park’s house?
Having gained the woman’s trust to an extent, Mark decided to find more about the woman. From their conversation, Mark knew her to be Mrs. Park, the woman and her family members were displaced during one of the natural disasters that occurred several years ago in her own country. All her efforts to reunite with her family members - that is if they were still alive - proved futile so she gave up trying.
How did Mrs. Park end up in the gigantic house? Stay hooked for upcoming continuations. Have a lovely week.

  Hello peeps, how has the month been? I’ve been playing coward for a while now, let me tell you why. I read a book some weeks back—which I stumbled upon by the way—and I was like it’s something I’d like to make a blog post about but I have been “shifting post” ever since. Okay, this book I’m talking about is titled VIOLENCE written by FESTUS IYAYI and I’d say it was a good—real good—read. The time in which the story was set wasn’t really stated but I figure it was set sometime in the 70s going but the copyright and an account somewhere in the book. The storyline spans roughly 2-3 weeks, my guess being right.     The plot revolves basically around two couples, one affluent and the other poverty stricken. GROWING UP BIG FOOT

Howdy mates!!!! Over the past week, I found myself brainstorming on what to write next for this blog. Honestly, blogging the way I do (writing articles) can be much of a work at times. Some days, I just sit in front of my screen, staring blankly, with no idea on what exactly to write about. Other days, I could have numerous ideas floating in my head, sometimes, I’m lucky enough to get most of them down and fleshed up, other times, I get to just a couple and the rest fly away or just don’t seem as interesting as the initial thought. Today’s post is several years old but it still rings true and possesses the same initial vibe it had. And, guess what? It is not as particularly serious as my last couple of posts have been--just something on a lighter note. I currently stand somewhere between  5ft 9’ and 5ft 10’ and by NBA standards, I’m nothing near tall (probably been seeing too many NBA games of recent).
