To those going through hard times

There are a lot of woes in the world right now, from economic crisis to terrorism, from indiscriminate killings to kidnapping, all of which are but a few. Hard times are almost certain to come but one thing I’d say is; don’t let hard times mar you. They may hurt, they may cause distress and maybe lead to a lot of tears however, don’t give up because it’s just for a while. It’s just a route to your place of glory.
Hard times come to teach us lessons and other times to rest us. They come to evaluate how much we have grown, how much we trust in God, how much perseverance we have in us. I’ve realized that even in the hardest of times there's something—no matter how small—to be grateful for. It may be the little jokes, care & love from one’s family, it may even be one’s health or an area of one’s life that has not been affected by the raging storm. Before you murmur or complain that the darkness is getting to dark, remember that some don’t even know how light looks. Before you complain about the type of accommodation you have, remember that there are thousands of homeless people out there. Before you complain about your car, remember that some have legs for cars and some haven’t any legs. Learn to look on the positive side of things.
Think positively, speak positively—cos words are seeds—and carry an aura of positivity. When hard times knock you down, remember the winner you are, how far you’ve come and get back up even stronger. Hard times are meant to mold us not break us, don’t give in to the weight. Hard times are tests which when passed last to glorification. It is often said that it is darkest before dawn, on days when the darkness overwhelms you, think of how dawn would be and don’t give up. When the darkness seems darker than darkest, search for a flicker of light—revive your hope that morning is coming and it would be beautiful—to dispel the darkness in your mind. Learn to laugh even in the face of adversity, be joyous no matter how huge your problems your problems are, give thanks in all—people are going through even worse.
This is to those going through hard times of any sort: the Lord is your strength, don’t give up, it would all end in praise and glory. These hard times are preparing you for something far better.

Much love.
Mina.
