Travel tips

So I remember saying in one of my previous posts that this blog would be taking on new forms now. Well, as a follow up to that I made this post.
Travelling can be fun, interesting and eye opening but it also can be pretty stressful when it comes to getting ready. A crucial part of travelling is organizing the things needed for the trip. This part is a variable as it depends on the cause of travel—that is; a vacation, an event or business purposes. I have travelled interstate quite a number of times and I’d be sharing a major tip that gets the pressure of preparing for a trip off of me.
*drum roll*

CREATING A TRAVEL CHECKLIST
Once I’m aware that I’d need to travel and the occasion, I begin to make a list of things I’d essentially need for the trip so as not to forget anything in the rush of getting ready. Often times, minute and equally important things like a toothbrush or a change of clothes can be forgotten hence the need for a checklist.
When drawing up my checklist, I usually bear in mind the occasion which helps me with creating the list. First, I think of clothing needed, would I need my shorts or formal trousers, what would I be doing in the course of the trip, would it be sunny or cold and other general stuff come to mind. Once done with this round of thinking, I pen down the items that come up.

Then I consider the things I can’t go without using everyday, things like a toothbrush, body spray, towel—travelling without this won’t be funny—hankies, change of underwear, combs and the sorts. I’m sure some of you would still have somethings I didn’t mention that you make use of daily. As they come to mind, pen them down.

The next thing is the random but still kind of essential stuff like a charger, earpiece, timepiece, earrings and necklaces for the ladies, handbands and other adornment pieces and footwear. Write these things out one after the other— as a light traveler, you may not need some of these.

Now that the list is done, look through it again and add stuff that may be missing, then keep the list somewhere that you’d remember when the trip comes. I advice to use the checklist again when returning from the trip to be sure nothing was forgotten. That there is how I make my travel checklist.
PS: if you travel by road, don’t forget the road munchies *wink* they’d come in handy.
Hope you found this helpful. Did I miss a point? How do you get ready for travel?

Stay strong
Mina.
